Matt Shriver, former collegiate national cx champ and 2009 CX World’s team member, will be offering a free cyclcross clinic for juniors on Sat, Sept 10. The Junior Dropouts (Brazen Dropouts junior team) in cooperation with Team Madcross will be holding this event in conjunction with the Team MadCross clinic and pre-season race at Badger Prairie County Park.

Details on the clinic:

WHAT: 2011 Juniors Cyclocross Clinic offered by Matt Shriver and the Junior Dropouts Cycling Team, in partnership with Team Madcross.

WHERE: Badger Prairie County Park, in Verona, Wisconsin (site of 2012 CX Nats). Meet at the main shelter for check in.

WHEN: 9 to 10:30 AM on Saturday 09/10/11. Please note that Madcross is offering an adult beginner clinic at same time and place.

WHY: To have fun and learn and sharpen skills for the upcoming racing season. There is also a FREE 20-minute practice race for Juniors at 12:30 as part of the Team MadCross Pre-Season Race.

HOW: Matt is generously offering his time and expertise to the juniors and the parents of the Junior Dropouts worked to organize the clinic.

COST: The clinic is free for those who have a USA Cycling annual license. For those who do not have a license, a daily license is available on site for $10.00. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Team Madcross food pantry drive.

GEAR REQUIRED: Bring your cyclocross or mt. bike in good working order, helmet, shoes, sunglasses, water bottle, sunscreen, etc.
