Preview: Badger Cross

Once again racing returns to Badger Prairie County Park. This edition has a twist as the racing is based around the north side of the park just off Cross Country road. With a start on the paved road just past the library the trails will be approached in a new way and the new run-up constructed in October will be used for the first time in a race.

Whether this will approximate Nationals conditions is hard to say. By January there could be snow or I’ve or mud. This weekend looks to offer just frozen ground. Saturday should be the coldest of the weekend but still warmer than typical January weather.

The biggest thing to remember is to not miss the annual WCA party Saturday night. All are welcome at the West Sife Club and it’s $20 at the door.
